Educators have known for decades that everyone learns differently and that everyone is smart in different ways.
Howard Gardner, an American developmental psychologist, took this knowledge a step further when he developed his theory of multiple intelligences. Gardner believes that we may be smarter in some ways of thinking than others, and over time those areas may change. By understanding how we think, and where our intelligence strengths lie, we can learn how to learn, better.
